About ME

I grew up in Williamsburg, Virginia. In high school, I loved singing in choir, drawing portraits, sewing my own clothes, and decorating for family events, holidays. I was also constantly taking photos of everyone (usually against their will lol). After I graduated at 17, I worked full time and eventually graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology. I knew I wanted to do something creative and work with people, but I just couldn’t figure out what that was yet. Something creative just seemed so far fetched for me at that age, I thought I needed a more “stable” career.

I started going to an art school online to pursue graphic design and photography. I landed a job with an organization that allowed me to travel all over the U.S. as a camera production assistant. I loved it and was fortunate enough to have a photography mentor who taught me most of what I know today. I went on to further educate myself on camera operation, lighting, color theory, posing and fell even more in love with photography.

When it comes to my style of photography and what makes me passionate, it’s the beauty in the timeless image that lasts a lifetime, while also creating compositions that make you take a second look. I’m inspired by anything vintage, editorial fashion magazines, the music and fashion of the 70’s and the 90’s. (90’s baby here)

Working with couples and women is where I shine. I like small, intimate sessions because I get to truly connect with my clients and give them an experience. What makes me genuinely happy is getting my clients to see the natural beauty within themselves, especially my female clients. Being a woman in our society isn’t easy and sometimes having a photoshoot can give a huge boost of confidence. It is so special to capture the emotions and memories of our time together. I like to think of myself as an observer allowing you to see yourself and your family from a different perspective.

I got married in the middle of the Covid pandemic to my wonderful husband, who is active duty in the Air Force. We moved across the world a week later to Aomori, Japan, during the height of the pandemic for his orders.

I spent the last three years in beautiful Japan and loved everything about it. I will be relocating to central California near Santa Barbara in the coming months. Having these experiences and meeting people from all over the world has been so rewarding, being a curious person who loves to explore and learn about other cultures. We’re also currently expecting our first baby… lots of exciting changes happening soon!
